Unfortunately, my illiterate mom did not know what legal steps to follow and when I advised her she told me she would be wasting her time because she had not taken the names of the offenders and she was too scared to go to the police just in case they sent her back and forth in her condition.
Metrorail responds: It is difficult to comment on this incident without the full facts. In cases like this we encourage the public immediately to lay a charge of assault at the nearest police station and report the matter to Metrorail to enable us to investigate.
Metrorail condemns untoward behaviour on the part of security staff contracted to protect and assist customers, and where abuse has been proven in the past Metrorail has laid criminal charges.
