NEW reality television series Please Give Me A Job is all about fresh graduates who are looking for a job. The show features 10 new graduates from different family backgrounds and with different qualifications.
In the pilot episode, the graduates meet their first prospective employer. In groups of five, both teams will be led by a project leader and have to perform specific tasks set by the employer.
The team that completes the tasks successfully will win the challenge and receive a reward from the company. The project leader will automatically qualify for a job interview with the prospective employer. They will be competing with two other outstanding candidates of the employee's choice.
The remaining participants will stay and move on to the following week. The mission is to be hired and not to stay on and keep competing. At the end of the season the remaining two who are not hired will be “sent back” to school to further their studies to improve skills and knowledge. Please Give Me A Job is on 8TV on Sunday at 10.30pm.
Another reality show, TV3's Gang Starz, is on Sunday at 9pm.Eight groups are competing to be the next super group in Asia. This week, there will be no elimination but just performances to give the audience a chance to know each group better.
Another not-to-be-missed programme is Hindi movie Dor, airing in the Bollygood Time On 2 slot. It's a story about love, loss, friendship, hope and redemption. The two principle characters are from different walks of life but are bound together following certain occurrences. Zeenat is an independent, self-assured and married young woman living in a remote Himachal Pradesh village, while Meera living in rural Rajastan, hails from a conventional Rajput household.
