Bandar Seri Begawan - Japanese students on the APCC Mission Project 2007 to Brunei held a cultural performance at Maktab Sains Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan yesterday.
In his speech, he said that the Asia Pacific Children's Convention brought together children from all over the Asia Pacific region to take part in activities that would last for a fortnight.
Last year's convention in Fukuoka saw over 300 junior ambassadors from 46 nations, regions and cities participating in a growing circle of friendship with the children, families, and residents of Fukuoka.
"Over the six days here in Brunei Darussalam, you will have the opportunity to spend some happy times with many friends, to share and experience family life through your home stay with your foster parents, and in doing so, introduce and share traditions from your own home countries," he said.
He added. "When the programme draws to a close, 1 hope that you will each take home wonderful memories of the shared experiences with your friends. and cherish the friendships that you have built."
