Those who know me know this very well that ever since I started writing I used to write freely and fiercely in Pakistan as well, even during military and dictatorship rules. I used to get warnings and threats from both authorities as well as people involved in massive corruption, merciless exploitation of people and deliberate destruction of the country but could never stop myself and always remained prepared for the worst. The warnings and threats only made me stronger. I was not harmed because of most importantly The Almighty's blessing. I always enjoyed the backing of people. They were always with me and guided me positively. When I reached Canada, I opened up a lot and took full advantage of the freedom of expression. This gave me courage and helped me greatly.

scope and opportunities in many fields, particularly trade and investment. They witnessed the wonders and beauty of Pakistan and tasted the warmth of true love and care. None of these VIPs, personalities and dignitaries came back disappointed and would again happily avail every chance and offer to visit Pakistan. They are now asking Canadians to explore Pakistan and avail the golden opportunities offered and invest there. This is not their political slogan or gimmick but expression of true understanding of Pakistan and Pakistanis. They have in fact fallen in love with the country and the people. This is the great quality of Pakistan and Pakistanis. Once you meet the people, you will find them your own and the country your home. Only the black magic of dirty propagandas of enemies of Pakistan and the black deeds of the Corrupt Class in Pakistan have tarnished the image of this great country and the people.

SUFFERINGS: Dear people worldwide, Pakistan needs your attention, support and investment. Unfortunately, since independence, Pakistanis had to suffer tremendously. On August 14, 1947, they gained freedom but could not truly enjoy even today the full taste of freedom. For many of them, it was like falling out of the frying pan and into the hell fire. People struggled against the Colonial rule and got rid of it after great sacrifices. They could not imagine even in their dreams that conspiracies would make them hostage of Loyalists of the Colonial Masters. Unfortunately, this happened. On September 11, 1948, our Great Leader and Founder of Pakistan Mohammad Ali Jinnah passed away. Even today, this is suspected as a murder to clear the way for the Loyalists. The assassination of another Great Leader and first Prime Minister of Pakistan Liaquat Ali Khan in 1952, in Rawalpindi, Punjab, confirmed this suspicion as a reality. Any denial only proved and would prove a cover up.

This was all part of the process of elimination of true leadership. The noose on the neck of the people was tightened and they were dragged into the cage of slavery of the Loyalists---thousands times more cruel and merciless than the Colonial rulers. Their freedom was cunningly snatched. The Loyalists started corrupting the system and destroying institutions. The root of the Loyalists was the Wadera, Jagirdari and Sardari system (the powerful landlord and tribal class). Most of the population of the country, particularly in the rural areas, became slaves of the powerful and cunning Corrupt Class. This was the worst thing to happen. All those who dared raise voice and stand against them were mercilessly, brutally and openly murdered. The Corrupt Class was far much worse than the Barbarians, Cannibals and the most dreaded beasts. They made the lives of people miserable. People in their grip were considered and treated as Kammi (Lowest Class).

BREAK UP: In December, 1971, the eastern part of Pakistan was conspiringly separated and made Bangladesh. Over 90,000 Pakistani forces, considered and undoubtedly one of the best military forces in the world, became POWs. The destruction and death toll was tremendous. Bengalis started to hate Pakistanis and considered them as enemies. All this happened, thanks to the deeds of the Corrupt Class. During the rule of the first Civilian Martial Law Administrator, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Sindh and Balochistan remained disturbed. During military operations thousands were mercilessly killed. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto no doubt was a genius and a great leader but very emotional and bold. He paid the price, was trapped and sent to the gallows by the Corrupt Class. Like other such leaders, he too became victim of use and abuse policy.

ANOTHER WRATH: When Gen Ziaul Haq snatched power and imposed Martial Law, the country faced another great challenge---Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. The religious institutions (Mosques and Madarsas) were turned into training camps of Mujahideen. Thousands of patriotic, poor and innocent people were used as sacrificial animals to face the Soviet forces. Most of them were Islam lovers and gave their lives for Allah (The Almighty) but they were used by the recruiters as a bait to protect the vested interests. Since then most of these religious institutions produced mainly militant, political and opportunist elements posing as Mullahs. With almost every religious leader, one can see up to four Mullah-guards with sophisticated automatic weapon. What was the meaning of this show of power? Again the sufferers were the common people. They were duped, exploited and terrorized. Now they faced another crisis---The Wrath of Professional Mullahs.

SHAITANOUN KA QABZA: This Professional Mullahs joined the Corrupt Class in exploiting and strangling the people. In fact it became an important branch of the Corrupt Class. They too made people hostage and occupied most of the religious institutions (Masjid and Madarsa). From here started what people called a dark era: `Masajid Aur Madarsoan Pe Shaitanoun Ka Qabza' (Occupation of the Mosques and Madarsas by the devils). Now it is a common scene to see Professional Mullahs with colourful turbans (Group identification), wearing Arab Shaikh gown (Jhubba) and preaching Mazhab-e-Mullah.

There is no room for hate in Islam but these Professional Mullahs preach hatred. They poison the minds of innocent people and tarnish the image of Islam and Muslims. There is an urgent need to free people from the clutches of these dreaded Professional Mullahs. Because of them, the true lovers of Islam and humanity and followers of The Almighty are not being allowed to come forward and guide the people in the real sense. Those who dared are eliminated from the scene.

CHAMPIONS OF DEMONCRACY: The Champions of Typical Pakistani Demoncracy (CTPD)---Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif---joined the dirty politics race for power. They were given two chances each but ruthlessly plundered the wealth and brought the country to the brink of collapse, disaster and destruction. Now they are again dreaming of ruling the country (making people their slaves and looting the wealth of Pakistan). They are trying their best to please their masters and beg for power.

They have been exposed and tested and are not at all respected by the people, particularly of Urban areas of Sindh. Thousands of innocent people were allegedly hunted, haunted and mercilessly slaughtered. This is what they did. This is why they are considered a potential danger for Pakistan. Want destruction of Pakistan, just give them a chance again. This is their expertise. President Gen Pervez Musharraf is struggling hard to steer Pakistan out of crises and has succeeded greatly. Instead of encouraging and supporting him, the Corrupt Class is bent upon tearing his uniform, making him powerless and to eliminate him. They accuse him of being US poodle but everybody knows who is wagging the tail in front of the master. Any fool, dumb and idiot can answer this very simple question. The Corrupt Class thinks the people are fools whereas it is they who are living in a fool's paradise and in their own world of cruelty and corruption.

So obviously and ultimately only an army general will replace President Musharraf. Without any choice, he too will do the same. This is what keeps happening in Pakistan. This is the analysis of the situation in Pakistan since 1947. The US and allies need a powerful general and not a corrupt politician to promote and protect the vested interests and ensure stability in the South Asia region. Pakistan's strategic importance is great---like of Israel in the Middle East. Whatever happening right now is also part of the diversionary policy of the international politics and developments. The strike target is something and somewhere else including Iran. It is not occupation or people, the vested interests are strategic routes and resources. For this no hurdles or barriers are tolerated. All coming in the way are bluntly asked one question: `Friend or Foe'. President Musharraf was also given this choice. What would have any other leader or general in his place said in reply? Anybody can easily guess, particularly seeing the helpless condition of Pakistanis---There is no true leadership and most people are hostage of the Corrupt Class.

LIVE AND DIE BRAVELY: The Pakistanis are very naïve and innocent or you can say highly confused and disturbed. On the one hand they are struggling desperately to get out of the cruel grip of the Corrupt Class whereas on the other they always trust the same corrupt politicians and leaders, who keep exploiting and harming them. Unless they learn to live and die bravely and break all shackles of slavery, they will continue to remain a slave and lead a miserable life. They must know this that they do have a choice and the world too is ready to help them. It is they who must stand up for freedom and struggle against the Corrupt Class. Despite grave crises and critical situations, Pakistan continues to survive and progress. Even many non-believers started believing in The Almighty when they saw how Pakistan is struggling, surviving and progressing, despite sinister conspiracies and attempts of the enemies to crush Pakistanis and finish Pakistan. Although Pakistan is surrounded by grave dangers, both external and internal, and people are predicting its break up yet this country is firmly standing on its feet and the world is witnessing tremendous progress and development.

Pakistan definitely enjoys blessings of The Almighty. People are now realizing and standing against the Corrupt Class. The cruel and strangling grip on the neck of the people is loosening. Thanks to awareness and understanding and attention and help of the world. The situation has improved greatly. Now is the right time for the world to make people, institutions and system stronger for a strong Pakistan. They need help and we can provide them the same in the shape of massive investment and developments. We need to help them stand on their feet and set the things in order. They need us to help them struggle against the Corrupt Class.

Being a professional journalist, I know such bodies, activists and their workings very well. This is a common thing. Take refuge abroad, join the anti-Pakistan forces and start saying all sorts of rubbish. There are many such organizations working against Pakistan through negative propagandas and exploitation of petty issues. These forces are exposed and need no attention and importance. They are in fact tools of the enemies of the people of Pakistan.

PAKISTAN DAY: On March 23, Pakistanis worldwide celebrated Pakistan Day. On March 23, 1940, the Muslim League adopted the `Lahore Resolution' calling for separate autonomous states in majority-Muslim areas of northeastern and eastern India. A mammoth gathering of Muslims resolved in Lahore to start a struggle for the creation of Pakistan. Within seven years, a separate homeland was created under the dynamic leadership of Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Founder of Pakistan Mohammad Ali Jinnah always called for equal rights for all Pakistani citizens without regard to their religion. Jinnah's biographer, Stanley Wolpert, wrote: `Few individuals significantly alter the course of history. Fewer still modify the map of the world. Hardly anyone can be credited with creating a nation-state. Mohammad Ali Jinnah did all three."

The Consulate General of Pakistan in Toronto celebrated the National Day of Pakistan at Markham Town Hall, 101, Town Centre, Markham. In the morning, Pakistan's flag was hoisted at the City Hall, Markham. The ceremony was open for all, particularly Pakistani Community and Canadians of Pakistani origin. The gathering was large and very impressive. The foreign dignitaries included Chaudhary Amir Hussain, Speaker of National Assembly of Pakistan, Riffat Javed Kahlaon, Dr Hajira Tariq Aziz, Maj (Retd) Zulfiqar Ali Gondal and some others of the Parliamentary delegation.

General of Malta, Nayyer Jamal, Country Manager of PIA in Canada, Andy Merchant, President of Canada Pakistan Business Council, Melvin John, Managing Director, M + D Community Corp., Bashir Khan of Vision of Pakistan, Amir Shamsi, President of Universal Promotions, Tariq Nasim and Ishrat Nasim of Caravan, Gul Nawaz and Sultan-uz-Zafar, two leading social figures, and many others.

CONSUL GENERAL: Tassaduq Hussain, the new Consul General of Pakistan in Toronto, in his message and address said: "Due to sound economic policies, now Pakistan is showing a lot of economic improvements. Last year the growth was 8.4%. Pakistan is always looking to enter in partnerships with those who contributed in Pakistan's progress and stability. Pakistan is interested more in trade than aid for its progress, prosperity and stability." He said: "Pakistan values its ties with Canada. The Canadian leadership deserves credit for the remarkable improvement in relations. The Canadians of Pakistani origin are not only making valuable contributions to the mainstream life in Canada as professionals, politicians, businessmen and even as parliamentarians but are also deeply involved in strengthening the bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Canada."

Tassaduq Hussain said: "We are confident that they will continue with this positive and constructive role for peace, progress and prosperity of the multi-cultural, multi-lingual and multi-ethnic society of Canada and for bringing the peoples of Pakistan and Canada closer to each other. Let's work together for achievement of Founder of Pakistan Mohammad Ali Jinnah's vision of Pakistan. The overseas Pakistani communities always played a vital and meaningful role in the progress and well being of Pakistan."

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Jim Karygiannis, MP and a trusted friend of the Pakistani community, said: "For solid and long-term investment do think of Pakistan. Scope and opportunities are very good there. The country is waiting to be explored. Investment there will help bring progress and stability." Looking serious and meaningfully towards the new Consul General, Tassaduq Hussain, Jim conveyed the very important message: "You have a lot of work to do here. Toronto is a home for many ethnic communities."

Derek Lee, MP, said: "Pakistanis are a very vibrant community. Our relation is a living one. I had very good discussion with the Speaker of National Assembly of Pakistan, Chaudhary Amir Hussain." David Zimmer, MPP, said: "The principles and values of Mohammad Ali Jinnah are similar to ours and that's why the Pakistani community is very successful in Canada. The contribution of the Pakistani community is great and very impressive." Toronto indeed has gained world recognition for promotion of communities, principles and values including social and cultural. The Pakistani and South Asian communities are playing very important role and contributing tremendously. Canada is providing them full and best opportunities and facilities to achieve their objectives, goals and visions. Those who understand this are benefiting and enjoying the fruit of great success. This is why Canada is the best country in the world.

BAND OF OPPORTUNISTS: The Pakistani community can show better results, progress and improvement if the members understand and stay away from the Mufad Parastoan Ka Tola (The Band of Opportunists). These self-proclaimed community leaders and champions have formed groups and made the members look like dumb and dwarfs. Ghalib Iqbal, the former Consul General in Toronto, openly warned the community in a meeting to keep away from such so-called opportunist leaders and groups who are doing nothing except harming the community. They are making the community dance on their own tunes. The groupings are proving very harmful and creating hurdles for the community in adjustment in the society and joining the important platform of mainstream.

The new Consul General must understand and analyze this critical situation. The opportunists will try to surround and trap him to gain his trust and confidence. For this they will use all means. Like Jim Karygiannis said: "He will have to do a lot of work." He must connect himself with the community in a very practical and positive way to help build bridges and a very good image of Pakistan and Pakistanis. People are ready to help him provided he does not prove only to be a hardcore bureaucrat.

Toronto is a place where over 95 percent Pakistanis are highly qualified, skilled, talented and vibrant. They understand and know everything. They should not be dealt in a typical Pakistani mentality style. Most of them have successfully adjusted in Canada and proudly claim to be Pakistanis of broad Canadian mentality.

you can help them greatly. Lots of cultural, social and religious events and activities are taking place in Toronto which needs coverage and promotion. For example, Amir Shamsi of Universal Promotions, Mirza Khorasanee of BollywoodPlus, Melvin John, Managing Director, M+D Community Corp., and many others keep doing something. All these need focus and attention and must be objectively covered. Through positive and constructive criticism, they must be monitored. Nobody should be allowed at any cost to damage and harm the reputation, image and interests of the Pakistani community and Pakistan. This should remain a vital part of the policy.

Despite harsh constructive criticism of the event `Legends of Cricket 2007', I was invited by Melvin John to a luncheon meeting given in honour of the local media at The Host in Mississauga on March 25, 2007. The media attendance was very good, attracted by the `delicious lunch and certificate of appreciation'. The local media was thanked for the `Objective and Positive' coverage of the event. Some people there asked me: Where is your certificate? I said: "In view of my critical analysis of the event, I could not expect even in my dream of getting the Certificate of Appreciation. Still I kept my word and joined them in the presentation meeting. Thanks Melvin John for the invitation and respect."
